RAT N ROACH THE ROACH AND RAT: FLY TRAP FLAP (EPISODE 3)

EXT NIGHT
Close up on the Licksworth’s mailbox then out to the house.

MRS. LICKSWORTH

Honey, did you get rid of those awful flies in the cellar?

MR. LICKSWORTH

I put fly paper up this morning dear.

INT – CELLAR
RAT standing and staring at the sticky flytrap hanging from the ceiling.
He then goes into a fantasy about licking it and getting high.
After the fantasy scene he begins jumping up and trying to get the flytrap with his mouth.
Eventually he gets his tongue stuck on the sticky part of the trap and is left hanging there.

ANT walks in.

ANT

… the hell?

RAT

(Unintelligible ranting and thrashing)
ANT (Looking at the camera)

Can’t he just climb the wall and get it?
[Laugh Track]

RAT

(More unintelligible ranting and thrashing)

ANT goes and gets a broom and pokes at RAT and the flytrap, poking RAT in the eye and mouth (with stretchy results).
Eventually the broomstick gets stuck in the flytrap.

ANT then crawls up RAT and tries to dislodge the broom and gets stuck himself.

ANT

@$%#!

KOPEC enters the room.  Looks at camera as if to say “Couldn’t he have just walked up the wall to get it?”

ANT

Kopec!

RAT

Don’t make him wag his tail!

ANT

Help us down, boy! Come on!

RAT

Don’t make him wag his tail!

Kopec begins walking toward them.

ANT

Good boy!

RAT

Don’t make him….

KOPEC starts wagging his big ol’ tail and it knocks everything over (table, lamp, etc.) and gets some of those things stuck in the flytrap.
Eventually KOPEC gets stuck in the flytrap as well.

Now all three characters plus debris from the room are hanging from the flytrap.

ROACH walks in and, without noticing the stuck characters, proceeds to open the one drawer left standing and take out a shiny new flytrap.
He then contently walks away licking it as if a lollipop.

All the characters hang there in stunned silence watching ROACH walk away.
RAT breaks the silence by suddenly and violently thrashing and yelling.
[PROD NOTE: RAT's thrashing is quickly ended by the FIN over Black.]

Episode 1

RAT AND ROACH THE ROACH AND RAT: Baking Soda Blow

Title Sequence and music.

INT. LIVING ROOM – NIGHT

Shot 1: As RAT scurries across the floor, he finds a spilt box of baking soda. He comes to a screeching stop.
The Camera zooms into his face.

RAT

Ach De Liebe!

Shot 2: Baking soda in foreground, RAT rises from behind it.

Shot 3: Close up on RAT’s eyes darting left and right suspiciously.

Shot 4: Close up on Baking soda box as RAT’s hand enters scene and snatches it out of shot.

INT. TV ROOM – NIGHT

Shot 5: Camera is behind ROACH as he is sitting on the chair watching TV. Very slow zoom.
President Obama from a podium, commands the audience to obey him.
The audience applauds.

TELEVISION

We coat it with asbestos as best as we can coat it!

AUDIO NOTE: Underneath the television and dialogue there is the sound of RAT cutting up the baking soda into lines.

Shot 6: ROACH’s ears straighten up and his head pokes up from behind the chair.

ROACH spins around toward the camera (looking at the viewer).

ROACH

B’excuse me a minute.

ROACH darts off to screen left.

INT. RAT AND ROACH AT THE TABLE

Shot 7: ROACH darts into shot while RAT is already sucking up baking soda from a straw into his mouth.

ROACH grabs straw from RAT’s mouth and sticks it in his nose and whiffs some of the line(s).

Shot 8: Camera bust shot on RAT and ROACH as they trip for a moment.

RAT explodes.

ENDING CREDITS

Shot 10: Ending credits with Musical Guest song.
